Photoyard is built so your photos never leave your device.
Last updated: May 22, 2026
Photoyard (the "App") is a photo-sorting app provided by the individual developer pocanyan (the "Developer", "we"). This policy explains how the App handles personal information.
1. Core principle
All photo analysis — duplicate and screenshot detection, and on-device content categorization — happens entirely on your device. We do not collect, view, or transmit your photos. We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA) for tracking, and we do not embed third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
2. What we do NOT collect
- Your photos or videos, or their thumbnails
- Account details such as name or email (the App requires no sign-up)
- Location data (we never send photo EXIF to our servers)
- Tracking information for advertising
3. Information stored on your device
Your sorting history and settings are stored on your device and — if you enable iCloud — in your private iCloud database, which we cannot access.
4. Photo report feature (Pro, optional)
Only when you generate a Pro "photo report" do we call a generative AI through our relay server (on Cloudflare). What we send is aggregated, anonymized statistics only (for example, counts and trends by category) — never your photos or anything that identifies you. No such request occurs unless you generate a report.
5. Cloud backup (optional)
Backups to iCloud Drive / Google Drive / Dropbox / OneDrive / NAS go directly to your own account. Credentials are stored securely in your device Keychain and never pass through our servers.
6. Payments
Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple's App Store / StoreKit. Apple processes payment details; we never receive your card information.
7. Photo library permission
The App requests photo library access to organize your photos. This permission is used only to display, sort, delete (by your action), and back up photos on your device. You can change it anytime in iOS Settings.
8. Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Changes
We may revise this policy as needed. Material changes will be announced on this page.
